Battlefleet Gothic: Armada comes out in March..

Oh dear, this one slipped under my radar. We mentioned the Total War: Warhammer game earlier, and this is one set in the science-fiction Warhammer universe (compared to the Fantasy universe).

More on this game after the continue reading button

It’s called Battlefleet Gothic: Armada. And this is all about space fleets blowing each other up in the name of the Imperium.. or the Chaos Gods.. or in the name of “Avvin a Good Fite!” (yes, there are Orks in 40K too. They get around. If you ever want to know how to talk like an Ork, talk like a teenage football hooligan from England. I’m talking what we Yanks call Soccer. And they do chant ERE WE GO ERE WE GO ERE WE GO)

Dese Orky Ships are proppa fite-y, and dey even painted red.. cuz evvrywun knows dat da Red wunz go fasta! WAAAGHH!
Dese Orky Ships are proppa fite-y, and dey even painted red.. cuz evvrywun knows dat da Red wunz go fasta!  Dey gonna kill everywun, and take da Boyz to the next WAAAGHH! (Ok, this typing like an Ork thing gets old quick. The game is absolutely beautiful however.)

Needless Ork-talk aside, this latest trailer, just weeks before the game’s release deals with the Chaos fleet. Quicker and deadlier than the Imperium’s fleet, they are filled to the brim with those who have sold their souls to Chaos for the prospect of power. Their ships look more like something that Todd McFarlane would draw after a three day mescalito binge, filled with spiky protuberances and even teeth. (do Chaos ships eat?). But again, the visuals are striking, and I’m hoping to get a review copy of this game for next month’s release.
