Origin starts Subscription Service..

Just saw this announced today. Origin is offering a service offering access to a dozen or so games for $4.99 a month. The selection is somewhat limited, but there are some interesting gems there. More after the jump.

In the EA Vault (games available to Origin Access members while a subscription is active) are several Battlefield games (including the most recent release, Battlefield: Hardline), the Dead Space trilogy, the Dragon Age trilogy, FIFA 15, Need for Speed: Rivals, FIFA 15, Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare, The Sims 3 starter pack, and This War of Mine).

It will also be offering discounts on full purchases on Origin as well as early access to new releases (as EA access does for the console side). I think it’s a good idea, but I don’t know if this is something that will pull people out of the steam eco-sphere.
